Arrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!! Nooooooooo!!!!!!
Warner Bros have signed Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects/X-Men) to direct Superman!
Singer, 38, signed a deal to direct last week and his X-Men writers Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris have also signed to work on the long awaited production.
Warner Bros moved for Singer after McG walked away from the $200 million movie last week. Tim Burton and Brett Ratner have also walked away from the movie in recent years.
"My interest in Superman dates back many, many years," says Singer "I feel that Superman has been late in his return and it is time for him to fly again."
Unfortunately Singer's involvement in Superman means he will not direct X-Men 3. 20th Century Fox will now look for a new director to continue their X-Men franchise.
While I think that Singer could do a great job with Superman and actually get the movie made BUT I would much rather see an X-Men 3! I just haven't been that excited about a new Superman movie all along and now I'm really pissed! Even if Singer quits/gets fired from Superman at some point, it may be too late for him to go back to X-Men 3. *pout*

Even better then first one. I was really suprised when they pulled off the first one so well. X-Men is a hard comic to capture since it is mostly a metphor for race relations. Still they have done it just perfectly. I think it will be real interesting to see how they handle the Phoenix and Jean Grey's rebirth since its pretty clear thats what they are going for (hence the orange glow). I also liked how they changed Scott and her relationship since in the comics there was no Wolverine at that time but you can sure tell where they got the idea for the relationship from (think Wolverine = Han Solo and Scott = Luke Skywalker). I have heard they are considering doing a Wolverine solo movie which I think for once would be excellent to explore his rather interesting background. Heck maybe Halle Berry can fangle one about Storm too. Probably to me the most amazing thing is that Halle Berry who is extremly overrated as an actor for one of the few times I have seen hits her character perfect.
Rating: Green. Its going to be hard to top this one but I think Matrix might give it a run for best summer movie.
