I really can't fairly judge this story. I remembered too much of it from the book, even tho they changed it from cigarettes to guns and I must say that made it much better for the screen. But it wasn't too bad and I liked the ending but the whole movie seemed very rushed, like they were trying to cram too much into too little time. It probably would have been better as a two part miniseries on TV.
